Commented Unassigned: Vertical lines in recoded files (to AVI) [1779]

This issue seems to be isolated to my __Seagate Free Agent Theater+__ (FAT+) but I wanted to pop it up for discussion.

For many months I have noticed British avi's displayed pulsing, uniform, vertical lines during playback.

A few days ago I grabbed MCEBuddy (and contributed). I converted an HDTV .wtv to .avi -- first with zero, and then +100 quality. Both displayed the lines with equal brutality.

I am kind of partial to my FAT+ I am wondering . . .
* if others have seen this problem
* if I'm not holding my tongue right
* if there a setting I have not discovered

Curiosity, what profile you are you using? Try this, select MP4 fast profile and check automatically detect video quality in the conversion options.
