I installed the latest MCEB beta on a new PC a week or two ago. Worked pretty well for a while, but the last couple of days, some files are getting stuck in the conversion process. Rebooting did not fix the problem. One of these files converted successfully on a second attempt, while another failed twice but succeeded on the third try. Here's a couple of logs:

Yes there is a known issue with Windows 8 and handbrake hardware encoding in some cases. We are working with the devs to try and see what's going and why it works sometimes and fails sometimes.
One possible answer is your driver, are you using the latest intel graphics and chipset drivers?
Also I noticed you've enabled
Skip Remuxing Original File to TS -> True
Try disabling this.
Also, the one way around is to disable hardware encoding for now (it defeats the purpose I konw).
Alternatively upgrade to the latest build. With the newer build we have put a detection for this and if the hardware encoder fails it falls back to software encoder.
Can you upload a copy of your original WTV file which fails the hardware encoding?
