I just donated to MCE and Comskip since they seem like best solution out there. I use WMC with my HDHomeRun Prime tuners and its been working great. I just want to be able to go to my recorded tv screen in WMC and have all my shows look exactly as they do now just with no commercials. The closest I have come is having it use WTV unprocessed, skipping remux, and outputting the cut file back into the recorded video's folder with the same exact name. The only problem is, they no longer have a screenshot as an icon and when also viewing in wmc you don't see any program details and it says its only 1 min long. If you play it it works fine though, its the proper length.
My other option was to have them processed in the same way, but have it rename and move it to another folder and point WMC to that folder as a regular video library. When I do that even though it doesn't have an icon in windows explorer WMC shows one and it displays the proper show information still.
I am not sure why the second method works the way it does, yet the first option leaves out all the show information and the screenshot for the icon when it should technically be the same file.
Anyone have any thoughts on what I am trying to do, is it even possible, or would this not work because if I set it to a schedule it would keep trying to reprocess all the files it already processed (not that it would be a big deal as long as it didn't change the files, processing time isn't a concern as its not re-encoding).
