rboy: I guess I just don't get it. I looked at all these posts and tried the stuff and don't seem to get hardware encoding. I have an AMD cpu (no QuickSync) and an ATI Radeon 6670 video card (downloaded latest driver today) with OpenCL 1.2 support. I tried to add -P and/or -U to the handbrake-video line of my profile and tried several test recordings. I don't get any activity on the gpu, and total domination of the four cores.
Here's my profile (modified obviously):
[M4V Apple High Quality]

It's intended to push the limits of the AppleTV 2 and it takes a long time to encode, so I would love to drop it off on the gpu. I don't know where to throw up a log (just joined here a moment ago) and if you tell me how, I'll get it to you post haste. Really, though, like one asked before, what are the steps we should try to get OpenCL use when we have an AMD cpu and no QuickSync?
Thanks for the great program and for your anticipated help.
