Yes, 683 is probably unusual - it's half the width of my tv screens (1366) - I'm not a stickler for video quality...
No good. I carefully followed the clean reinstall instructions, and still see no hardware acceleration. Here's another log, in case it helps:

Is there any reason OpenCL might not be available, when my card is known to support it? Maybe some setting is needed to enable it? I'd love to try the GPU acceleration, but can't think of anything else to do to make it work. Thanks,
