I get an encoding error whenever I try to encode a file with a Unicode file name. I'm having the issue with a Japanese name:
未来世紀ジパング【知られざる親日国スリランカ!急成長…その裏には?b】 - 2014-01-13.ts
You can see where the issue occurs in the log file by searching for ".ts". The error first occurs around 224 where FFMPEG throws up an error saying it can't read the following file:
"未来世紀ジパング【知られざる親日国スリランカ!急成長…その裏には?b】 - 2014-01-13.ts"
The garbled text is an improperly encoded Unicode name. It seems from that point, MCEBuddy loses track of the file during that line causing the encoding to fail.

done fixed in the new 2.3.15 BETA build
Unicode files work now, but note they ONLY work with ffmpeg profiles sicne mencoder and handbrake don't support unicode.
Also clsoed captions and cropping will not work for the same reason above. All the rest shoud work fine
