So let me apologies up front if this has been asked prior or the product is already able to do this. I wasn't able to find a thread related to this though.
I want preserve the time stamps of original file - specifically the "date modified" and the "date created". I understand I can have MCEBuddy parse this information for the new converted files name - however, I need the new file to maintain its original dates.
Two use cases that I have currently:
1) Recorded live tv in WMC (WTV files) - the files have the "original air date" as the "modified date" and the date that the file was recorded as the "date created".
Once I use MCEBuddy to convert the file to MP4 - it changes both the creation and modified date to when it was converted. It would be great to keep these dates in tack as original.
2) Home Videos - I have many home videos I need to convert to a more usable format (MP4) - and when I convert them it changes the date on these as well. I would like to keep its original date as record of when the video was taken and for parsing naming convention.
