Hi,
I started using 2.3.13 to convert my tv recordings to mp4. This is working fine. However, because the stations do not hold on their EPG information I have programmed those recordings to begin 5 minutes ahead of the announced time. So the recordings begin with some minutes of commercials before the main show starts.
Now I have found some recordings where the WTV is reported to have 720x576. When you start playing the WTV the commercials are shown in 16:9 and when the main show starts it automatically switches to 4:3. Everything fine.
The mp4 reports 720x560. If I play that in any player (MediaBrowser, VLC) the commercials are shown in 16:9 as before but when the main show starts the aspect ratio does not change to 4:3. (If I manually change the aspect ration in VLC to 4:3 it looks good again).
I played around with mp4box and set the PAR to 1:1 and then the main show is shown correctly in 4:3 but the commercials are shown wrong (no drama, I want to cut them off eventually anyway).
The point is: Is MCEBuddy supposed to take the aspect ratio switch in the middle of the stream over to the mp4? Is this technically possible at all? Is this a bug?
