Hi all, I hope someone can help I have tried to find the answers on the site and experimented a bit but if I've missed something feel free to point to a page that has the answers as I would have thought what I'm wanting to do isn't that unusual
I have a topfield 5800 and am migrating from it into windows 8 media centre. the Topfield writes .rec files which are a ts variant with some additional leading data before the standard ts stream but I think I can get around that one way or another. VideoRedo does seem to work ok.
My big problem is the metadata. I don't think the toppy has the Original Air Date anywhere (does freeview metadata feed even send this information?) so I can't use the standard title_airdate_airtime filename that I understand MCEBuddy requires.
currently the files are in format title_x where x is just a unique number to prevent name collisions and I would imagine I would need to provide title_episodename or something so it has half a chance of finding the data from the online db's. Can MCEBuddy cope with this or something else that I may be able to get?
I have around 1000 files to bring in so I need something fairly automated and I think I can write something to change the filenames, just need some help with the options I have.
Thanks!
