Yup, without a problem. The "encrypting" means that you need a cable card. Has no effect on what MCEbuddy can do. You only need to worry if Comcast starts flagging content as "copy once." Then MCEBuddy (IIRC) cannot do anything.

I have Comcast and HDHomerun and ran MCEBuddy without a problem.
